Data Deletion
Effective 17 July 2026 · Last updated 17 July 2026
You are always in control of your data. This page explains how to disconnect your social accounts and request deletion of the data Dystro holds about you. It applies to data obtained from all connected platforms, including data obtained through the Meta, Google, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Pinterest, Snap, and Bluesky APIs.
Option 1 — Disconnect an account (immediate)
To remove a single connected social account and its stored tokens:
- Sign in to your dashboard at app.dystro.dev.
- Go to Settings → Connected accounts.
- Select the account and choose Disconnect.
Disconnecting immediately revokes and deletes the access and refresh tokens for that account and stops all further data collection for it. Content and analytics previously retrieved for that account are deleted or anonymized within 30 days.
Option 2 — Delete your entire account
To delete your Dystro account and all associated data:
- Sign in and go to Settings → Organization → Delete, or
- Email privacy@dystro.dev from your account email with the subject "Data deletion request".
We will confirm and complete deletion within 30 days, subject to any limited retention required by law (for example, billing records). You will receive confirmation when deletion is complete.
Option 3 — Request deletion by email
If you are an end user whose account was connected by a business you work with, or you cannot access the dashboard, email privacy@dystro.dev with:
- the platform and handle/username of the connected account, and
- enough detail for us to locate the data (for example, the business or app that connected it).
We may need to verify your identity or coordinate with the business that controls the data before deleting it.
What gets deleted
- Access and refresh tokens for the account(s) in scope — deleted immediately on disconnect.
- Profile, content, engagement, and analytics data retrieved from the platform.
- Media you uploaded for publishing, from our storage.
- Account and configuration data, on full account deletion.
Aggregated, anonymized diagnostics that cannot identify you may be retained. Some records may be retained where required by law or to resolve disputes, then deleted.
